• Dr. Sarah Luginbill is a Visiting Assistant Professor in History and the Humanities here at Trinity. She graduated from Trinity in 2014, majoring in History and double-minoring in Art History and Medieval & Renaissance Studies. While a student at Trinity, Dr. Luginbill undertook museum internships at the San Antonio Museum of Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and participated in an archaeological excavation of a Roman fort in northern England. She received her PhD in History at the University of Colorado Boulder in May 2021.

    Dr. Luginbill is interested in the intersection of museums and objects, especially religious or spiritual items. She currently researches portable Mass kits used by Catholic chaplains in the U.S. military during World War I and II.
